Methodology

How every number on BotScoreboard is calculated, and what it can't tell you.

Data source

All figures come from Polymarket's free public APIs, with no logins or keys: the daily PnL history (data-api.polymarket.com/v2/user-pnl), the public leaderboard (/v1/leaderboard), user stats, wallet activity, and the public profile (gamma-api.polymarket.com/public-profile). Anyone can re-check them. We refresh daily.

Metrics

  • Gross trading PnL: profit from trades and settlements before fees.
  • Trading after fees: gross minus taker fees, including the value of open positions.
  • Net kept: trading after fees plus maker/taker rebates and rewards that Polymarket paid the wallet. This is what the account actually kept, and it's the default ranking.
  • Profile shows: the Total PnL figure displayed on the wallet's Polymarket profile page, read from the rendered page. In our checks it matches gross PnL before fees.
  • Max drawdown: the largest fall in cumulative net kept from a previous peak, using daily points.
  • Worst day / profitable weeks: daily and ISO-week changes in net kept, counting only days or weeks with activity.
  • Last 30 days: change in net kept over the last 30 daily points.

Who counts as a bot

A wallet is listed only when a named source identifies it as automated: its own operator, Polymarket's newsletter, a published third-party study, or a vendor that claims the wallet runs its software. Each bot page links its sources. Wallets printed in shortened form were matched to a full address only when exactly one wallet on Polymarket's leaderboard fits.

Limits

  • A wallet isn't a person: one operator can run several wallets.
  • Daily points can lag the latest trades by up to a day.
  • Rebates depend on volume, so a small account copying a big one won't earn the same.
  • Past results are not a forecast. Most bots lose money: a published 28-day study of 2,500 always-on Polymarket bots found 32% in profit after fees and rebates (source).
  • Kalshi doesn't expose account IDs publicly, so Kalshi bots are listed but not scored.
